The Dunhill Hotel Originally opened as the Mayfair Manor in 1929, the Dunhill Hotel is Charlotte's only member of Historic Hotels of America. Upon it's completion, the Dunhill, with it's unique architecture and powerful presence, was quite a nice addition to the Charlotte skyline. Lavishly fashionable and expensively elegant, the hotel thrived even through the Great Depression because of it's earned favor by prominent businessmen who traveled extensively by rail. Although fully renovated in 1987, it retained it's historic elegance through the 18th century furnishings, such as original works of art, hand-sewn draperies and four-poster beds, topped off with double-balconies offering breathtaking views of the city. Mimosa Inn A breathtakingly beautiful structure with surrounding gardens, the Mimosa Inn was built in 1903 and is a landmark in the area. Located on 3 beautifully-landscaped acres, the Mimosa Inn also has a dining room which seats 60 people. 1-877-MIMOSA INN The Victorian Villa Beautifully restored in the early 80's the Victorian Villa was spared no expense in it's architectural restoration. The antique furnishings that have been collected throughout the years include, not only furniture, but bricks, roofing, stair rails, stained glass, and french doors from old Charlotte buildings as well as buildings from other east coast cities.
