Cincinnati is located on the Ohio River at the Ohio-Kentucky border. It is
the 3rd largest city in Ohio behind Columbus and Cleveland. It was
originally the fastest growing inland city due in large part to it's
rivers and canals. Cincinnati was very popular during the Civil War, moving supplies for the Union Army. Its close proximity with the Southern states played a big part in the Kentucky & Tennessee offensives, as well as generating a lot of "Southern Sympathy" among the Cincinnatians. In recent years Cincinnati has been working to renovate and revitalize itself, and has been ranked as "Most Livable City" and "Cities that Rock". |
