Museums Atomic Testing Museum This is not your traditional museum, affiliated with the Smithsonian; this museum is staffed with volunteers who used to work at the testing site. The site was operational from 1951 to 1992 when testing became banned. There are hundreds of thousands of classified documents and photos and plenty of hands-on exhibits to keep young and old alike busy.

Liberace Museum In a city that celebrates excess, this museum is right at home. Guests can enjoy displays of jewels, costumes, pianos, cars and more. Liberace was the king of bling before bling existed. Despite his ostentatiousness, Liberace has done a lot of good with his celebrity status. Portions of the proceeds from the museum go to fund the Liberace Foundation which has given over $5M in scholarships to art students worldwide.

Madame Tussad’s Interactive Wax Attraction Did you catch the title of this museum? It’s not just a museum, it’s an interactive museum. While you have always been encouraged to touch the models, this time you can watch them in action and do things with them. Guests can perform with Britney Spears, meet Elvis, perform for American Idol, play basketball with Shaquille O’Neal or marry George Clooney, to name a few.
