Las Vegas, NV - Tourist Attractions

The Eiffel Tower Experience

The Eiffel Tower is like a “mini” replica of the one in France. Visitors can tour the 50ft tower to the top taking in views of Las Vegas all around, while hearing about the history of the original Eiffel Tower in France. There is also a restaurant here which is very popular so reservations are recommended.

Fremont Street Experience

As if Las Vegas didn’t have enough lights, the Fremont Street Experience has taken this city to new heights. Located 90ft above Fremont Street the experience is actually a light and sound show that is like no other you’ve ever seen. With over 12.5 million synchronized LED modules and a 550,000 watt sound system over 1400ft the views are incredible. Shows are 6-9 minutes in length and occur between dusk to midnight daily. If you can drag your eyes from above there is a promenade with lots of shops, street performers and more to occupy you on the ground.

The Roller Coaster at New York-New York

There are lots of roller coaster in Las Vegas (even in hotels), but this is the only one that looks like it is parked in the middle of New York harbor. The scene even includes a replica of the Statue of Liberty. The roller coaster is famous for its 180 degree heartline twist and 540 degree spiral.

Speed - The Ride

Yet another coaster on the strip, this one is distinguished by its use of electromagnetic forces to force the coaster to 35mph in 2 seconds. The ride features a climb to the top at 224 feet, and then does the whole ride again…backwards. Oh, and at speeds reaching up to 70mph.

Star Trek - The Experience

Visitors to this attraction will get a lot more out of it if they have ever seen the show. The attraction mainly centers around two rides: Borg Invasion 4D and Klingon Encounter. You could also buy a ticket to see Star Trek: The Experience—Secrets Unveiled, where you get lots of behind the scenes info.

The Stratosphere Tower

Stratosphere is right! This tower is the largest freestanding tower in the United States. Guests are taken up to one of two decks by elevator. The decks are home to 3 of the scariest thrill rides ever, although taking the elevator at 1800ft/min is enough thrills for some folks. Besides the view from the tower, or enjoying a nice meal at the Top of the World restaurant (which rotates 360 degrees each hour) guests can participate in one of these thrill rides:

Big Shot: Located on the Inner Deck at 857ft. The Big Shot Tower takes riders in their seats up to 160ft at 4Gs.

Insanity: This is one of those rides that spins riders around in dangling seats, only these riders are dangling 906ft above the ground. To keep the ride interesting there over 100 different variations you can experience.

XScream: And scream you will. This roller coaster is located 866ft above the ground, taking the riders 30ft over the tower and stops.
