Parks & Recreation
Central Park
Created in 1853, this world famous park includes over 840 acres in the
middle of New York City.
Encompassing recreational areas, a theater, sports, zoo, two museums,
amusement areas food, and entertainment. Visitors to the area can also
take horse drawn carriage rides through the park.

Queens Botanical Garden
Built for the 1939-40 World's Fair, this 39-acre park features plants,
both native and exotic. The gardens offer a place of peace and quiet in
the middle of Queens. Displays change constantly and the gardens are
available for weddings and receptions.

Prospect Park
The work of landscape architects Frederick Law Olmsted and Calvert
Vaux (whose achievements include Central Park and the National Zoo).
Prospect Park surrounds its visitors in nature with 60 acres of lake and
